Capcom: Resident Evil 6 not available on Wii U “at this time”

Resident Evil 6 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has explained that Capcom have no plans “at this time” to bring the game to Wii U, explaining that they are concentrating on versions for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

“Unfortunately, RE6 will not be available at this time on the Wii U”, Kobayashi explained to IGN. “Right now we’re concentrating on the PlayStation 3 version, 360 version and the PC version of the game.”

Those disappointed by such a statement should note that this doesn’t eliminate the possibility that Capcom could make a Wii U announcement in future – potentially being saved for E3 2012.

Nintendo have kept all information regarding their new home console under wraps, with Assassin’s Creed III being the only key title to have been recently confirmed for the platform.
