Capcom: Remember Me won’t hit Wii U

Remember-Me-Capcom

During their Gamescom press conference yesterday, Capcom unveiled new IP ‘Remember Me.’

Developed by DONTNOD Entertainment, the third-person action adventure game places players in the role of Nilin, an elite memory hunter trained in martial arts, who can break into people’s minds and steal or even change their memories.

When her own memory is erased, she begins her journey to reclaim her identity and discover how she can change the world.

It certainly sounds inventive, yet the bad news is that Capcom won’t be bringing the game to Wii U.

“As for Wii U, this project was started many years ago, long before Wii U was even a twinkle in Nintendo’s eye,” explained Capcom’s senior vice president Christian Svensson.

“We explored the idea of adding a SKU, but in the name of keeping the team focused and not adding dev tasks for the team to get up to speed on new hardware and time to the schedule, we’ve opted to keep it on the original platforms for which it was planned.”
