Capcom “motivated” to bring more Resident Evil to Nintendo 3DS

Resident Evil: Revelations producer Masachika Kawata has stated that the positive response to the Nintendo 3DS exclusive has provided him with the motivation to make another entry on the handheld.

“The incredibly positive fan reaction to Revelations has definitely given me motivation to make another Nintendo 3DS Resident Evil title”, Kawata explained. “I have some ideas in mind. However, I have a lot of other projects that need to be taken care of first.

“I must admit. Hearing players say how much they enjoyed Revelations does kind of make me want to forget the other projects and get stuck right into making another RE game for fans to enjoy (laughs)”.

With an ever growing install base, sales boosted by the likes of Resident Evil: Revelations, it certainly seems that Capcom are keen to continue to support the Nintendo 3DS.

Let us also hope that Resident Evil 6 will make its way to Wii U.
