After demonstrating the mode last week, Capcom has revealed more about the new Way of the Hado mode coming to Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers on Nintendo Switch.

This will see players hold the left and right Joy-Con in each hand, and, using motion controls, can perform Ryu’s special moves to take down Shadaloo soldiers.

Players can hone their skills in Training Mode, and, when ready for the challenge, can look to secure a high score in Beginner or Hard difficulty settings. There will also be an endless mode, in which Shadaloo soldiers will appear until you are KO’d.

Hadoukens can stop enemy projectiles and deal damage from a distance, performed by turning the Joy-Con controllers sideways and pushing forward with both hands.

Whereas Shoryukens deal great damage to a single target and is your best choice when an enemy is up close, performed by keeping one arm still while you punch the other into the air in an upward arc.

Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku will let players hit multiple opponents up close, meaning that it will be most effective when several enemies try to swarm you. This is performed by holding both Joy-Con controllers upright in front of you and rotating side-to-side.

The most powerful move that you can unleash is the Shinku Hadouken, dealing heavy damage to enemies close up and far away. Players will firstly need to build up the Special Meter and, once full, you hold down the SL and SR buttons while doing the same motion for a normal Hadouken.

After clearing each stage, you will earn experience points that you can use to strengthen stats such as Attack, Health, Speed, and Defense. This will quickly become key to defeating soldiers more efficiently, and, once sufficiently levelled, you can fight M. Bison.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will release on Nintendo Switch in March.
