Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies director Takeshi Yamazaki has revealed that work has already begun on the next title in the series.

His comments came as part of 4Gamer‘s broader end of year interview with leading developers, discussing what impressed them most over the past year and what they will be working on in 2014.

For 2013 Yamazaki-san’s choices were Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls and movie blockbuster Pacific Rim, which was a popular choice among the Japanese contingent. As for the Ace Attorney title, he was keen to mention that they are only just getting started on development so the project’s still early on.

“This year, we were able to deliver Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies to you all, and it brings me a great sigh of relief,” Yamazaki discussed. “Today, we’re working at full force on the next title. We’ve only just begun, but we’re currently thinking about all kinds of interesting ideas, so please look forward to it! Have a happy new year, you guys!”

We were fairly enamoured by Dual Destinies, so you have that to tide you over if you’re yet to purchase it through the Nintendo eShop!
