Capcom have shared information regarding a number of ways in which Monster Hunter 3G, due to release across Japan later this week, makes use of the Nintendo 3DS’ SpotPass ability.

There’s still no confirmation as to whether the game will see a western release.

SpotPass details for Monster Hunter 3G are as follows:

Post Office – you’ll find the red hatted Felyne in the harbour area, who will act as a point at which you can change the game’s SpotPass settings and manage your data.

Guild Card – every player will have a Guild Card which holds character information and other details regarding your hunting achievements. You may edit your card, add titles (gained by completing certain conditions) add an introduction message, and select a character pose and background.

Guild Card Box – Guild Cards that you receive from other players will be stored within this box, which will be accessible at the Post Office.

Furatto Hunter – characters from hunters that you’ve exchanged Guild Cards with will appear in the harbour pub, and you’ll be able to pay them to complete special quests from which you’ll receive rewards in return.
