Capcom have clarified in a response on their support page, that Monster Hunter Tri-G on Nintendo 3DS won’t include support for co-operative online multiplayer.
However, you will still be able to play co-operatively through the use of local wireless, with the only necessity for a Wi-fi connection being to download event quests.
Monster Hunter Tri-G will release on December 10th in Japan, with no word as yet on a western release.
