Majesco Entertainment have unveiled their continued support for the Nintendo DS, unveiled plans to release Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures on the handheld later this year.

Mama moves out of the kitchen and into the wilderness as she develops skills across 100 different stylus-based games. These include crafting a fishing pole, before using it to fish and then cook your catch; capturing wild chickens for a tasty egg breakfast; setting up your tent; collecting exotic insects and more.

Both girls and boys can enjoy fun outdoor activities like rock climbing, spelunking, rowing and tree climbing as they navigate a variety of 38 levels that span forests, mountains and seas. Would-be campers can choose to play as either the son or daughter, with Mama or Papa providing guidance depending on the chosen challenge.

“We’re very proud of the work we’ve put in to make the Mama brand one of the most successful and recognizable franchises in the industry,” commented Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer of Majesco Entertainment. “Gamers of all ages and backgrounds have been enjoying the Mama titles for years, and we think they’ll continue to do so with these next two additions as Mama explores new territories, be it the wild outdoors or the new technology the 3DS provides. With three additional cross-platform Mama skus planned for 2012, as well as the continued expansion of Cooking Mama Friend’s Café on Facebook, Majesco is committed long-term to this beloved franchise.”
