In their continual reveal of the multiplayer experience that is to support Call of Duty: Ghosts, Activision have shifted their spotlight on Clans.
Described as an “integral part of the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer experience,” new breakthroughs have seen the inclusion of cross-platform Clans meaning that players can join their friends regardless of which console they are playing on – the reward of which seeing them level-up their Clan and being granted access to exclusive unlocks and multiplayer XP bonuses. A supporting Call of Duty App will see you able to manage you clan, view stats, edit emblems, and chat with members.
But, and there’s always one when Nintendo’s involved, sadly Activision have confirmed that such cross-platform support excludes the Wii U. Whether that means the console’s missing out on the new features entirely is unclear, if not it’ll only be other Wii U owners that you’ll be able to experience them with.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will release for Wii U worldwide on November 5th.
