Infinity Ward are introducing a new Extinction mode in Call of Duty: Ghosts, for which the reveal trailer below sets the scene. The co-operative multiplayer mode will see up to four players pitted against invading aliens as they set out to destroy their hives.
It’s described as blending survival action, base defense and scavenging gameplay, which largely sounds like a futuristic equivalent to Treyarch’s traditional Zombies mode. Whilst we’ll miss Spec Ops, it’s a move that’s certainly piqued our interest.
Call of Duty: Ghosts releases worldwide on November 5th.
