Abstraction Games and Bonfire Studios have announced that Pitfall Planet will release on Nintendo Switch, a co-op puzzle adventure where you play as astrobots that must explore a distant, forgotten mining world.

After becoming stranded and separated from their ship, the astrobots – equipped with the latest and greatest in astro-mining technology – must traverse the subterranean caves of the ruined planet, overcoming its many perils in the process.

You will use their grappling hooks to pick up objects (and each other) to throw them over gaps or cliffs to collect the ore in each level. That will let you activate otherwise unreachable buttons and levers, reach higher areas using crates with the help of your buddy and hop across sections with bouncy pads.

The gems that you retrieve can be used to unlock hats, and, now on Nintendo Switch, you can use split Joy-Con to enjoy the game with friends and family in local multiplayer.

Pitfall Planet will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Fall 2018.
