During their earning’s briefing this morning, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has confirmed that the company are soon to allow gamers the opportunity to browse the Nintendo eShop service through either a PC or Smartphone.
Whilst it won’t launch alongside the Nintendo 3DS’ November system update, such a move is to allow Nintendo to begin to engage social media more, allowing users to discuss available software on the service.
Although, you won’t initially be able to purchase software directly and may instead scan a QR Code with the Nintendo 3DS camera that will take you to the title on your handheld. However, Nintendo are planning in future to allow software to be purchased on your PC or Smartphone, there’s just no indication of when yet.
