Revolution Software and Ravenscourt have announced that Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse will release on Nintendo Switch next month.

The celebrated adventure sees intrepid lawyer George Stobbart and sassy journalist Nico Collard on the trail of a murderous conspiracy whose roots lie in mysteries older than the written word.

With only logic, integrity and their wry sense of humour, George and Nico must outwit evil forces both ancient and modern to save mankind from disaster.

It comes to Nintendo Switch with a reimagined user interface that will let players seamlessly change between Joy-Con and touch screen controls, as well as never-seen-before Behind the Scenes movies that are unlocked as the adventure unfolds.

These will reveal the story and the development process behind the game, in previously unreleased interviews with the Broken Sword development team.

“Switch is so wonderfully accessible – and adventures offer the ideal portable game experience,” explains Revolution Software CEO and founder, Charles Cecil.

“We were determined to make the most of the Nintendo’s innovative hardware with exclusive content and controls. This really is the ideal way to experience Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse.”

Koch Media senior communications manager Jörn Fahrbach adds: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Revolution on the release of Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse in recent years, and this Nintendo Switch version represents the pinnacle of that journey.”

Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 21st, priced at £24.99 (€29.99).
