Angry Mob Games has announced that Brawlout will see release on Nintendo Switch, a game that looks to mix the precision of violent fighters with a sumptuous animated style.

The game’s streamlined combat does away with shields and blocking to instead focus on aggressive, fast-paced combat, with advanced techniques such as air dodging, wavedashes, direction influence on stun, ledge grabs or Rage Bursts for those looking for strategies.

There are seven characters currently waiting to battle it out – Paco, Sephi’ra, Chief Feathers, Volt, Olaf Tyson, King Apu, and Hyper Light Drifter revealed so far.

Each character has been designed around their own unique fighting style, too, whether that be prowess in grappling opponents, freezing them, dive kicking their opponent’s face, bombing them with projectiles or smashing them with long range whips.

There’s also the Rage Meter to consider, which, once filled up, sees your character become much tougher and can unleash powerful special attacks.

Online multiplayer will let you choose between competing in a Ranked match system complete with regional leaderboards, 1v1 casual matches, or private lobbies for between 2-4 players. The Brawlout Network will be the place where players can check their fight stats, match history and replays, whereas Brawlout TV will let you live spectate or watch replays.

Brawlout will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Late 2017.
