Brawl In Classic Beat ‘Em Up 99Vidas On Nintendo Switch

QUByte Interactive has announced that 99Vidas will soon see release on Nintendo Switch, developed in partnership with the Brazilian podcast with the same name.

The 16-bit classic beat ’em up looks to capture the excitement seen in games such as Final Fight, Double Dragon, Battletoads, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage, with players simply relying on two attack buttons – Punch (fast but weak) and Kick (slow but strong).

These can be alternated when used to perform combos that can, in turn, be upgraded by spending Experience Points that you acquire for beating down the enemies to increase the damage dealt or add elemental damage, for example.

With Story Mode, Versus Mode, and Survival Mode to tackle with 11 playable characters, there’s also the chance to get up to four players in on the action in local co-op.

99Vidas will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Q4 2017.
