Bravely Second’s success will determine the future of the series

We may have only just seen Bravely Default receive a European release, but producer Tomoya Asano has explained that it will be Bravely Second’s success that will affect the future of the series.

As part of 4Gamer‘s special end-of-year interview with numerous developers, the website asked Asano to share his thoughts moving into next year.

“I believe that the future of the Bravely series will really depend on the success of Bravely Second,” he discussed. “With that in mind, the year 2014 will be a very important year.

“Without forgetting the major premise of making a good game, I’d like to working on more, so please keep an eye out on us!”

The game’s predecessor, Bravely Default, saw release across Europe this month and was met with critical acclaim, and will hit North America on February 7th.
