Bravely Second fails to match Bravely Default’s launch week sales

Media Create have shared that Bravely Second: End Layer sold 100,047 copies during the Nintendo 3DS exclusive’s launch week.

That saw the Nintendo 3DS exclusive sell 53.63 percent of its initial shipment, which is a disappointing performance when directly compared with predecessor Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. That had shifted 141,529 copies at launch, which had accounted for 85.68 percent of its shipment.

Siliconera point out that Japan’s Golden Week may have negatively impacted on sales, with many enjoying their holiday until today – now headed back to work and school.

It’ll therefore be interesting to see whether thing’s pick up, as Square Enix’s larger shipment certainly indicates that they were expecting it to sell far stronger than it has done.
