Braid Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Now Available

Thekla has released Braid Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on the Nintendo eShop, with a paid Upgrade Pack (£2.25 / $2.99) available to those who already own the painterly puzzle-platformer.

Those playing on the portable home console successor can look forward to an increased resolution (up to 1080p in handheld mode and up to 4k when docked), increased refresh rate (up to 120Hz), higher resolution textures, and additional developer commentary.

First released on Xbox 360 back in 2008, Braid challenged players to manipulate the flow of time as they journey through worlds to rescue an abducted princess. With Braid Anniversary Edition, the original game was “reimagined and updated for modern, high-resolution gaming hardware.”

Each world grants you a different power to affect the way that time behaves, seeing you use the ability to rewind, encountering objects that are immune to being rewound, time that is tied to space, parallel realities, time dilation, and more that you need to overcome.

Braid Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide.
