With the news that Reggie Fils-Aime will retire from his role as Nintendo of America president and chief operating officer in April, it has been confirmed that Doug Bowser will succeed him.
Having previously worked as an executive at Electronic Arts as well as Procter & Gamble, Bowser had joined Nintendo of America in May 2015 as the vice president of sales before he was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing a year later.
In his time at Nintendo of America, he has helped to re-open the Nintendo NY store and led the sales and marketing efforts for Nintendo Switch – the portable home console breaking records to become the fastest-selling console of this hardware generation for the first 21 months in the United States..
