Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios have revealed that Blue Reflection: Second Light will receive a western release on Nintendo Switch.

This sequel to 2017’s Blue Reflection will follow the adventures of three students – Ao Hoshizaki, Kokoro Utsubo and Yuki Kinjou – who find themselves transported to a mysterious floating academy, and must search for clues to find their way back home with only their names as memories.

When a path leading to a new land appears one day, the students explore it but are soon met by a horde of deadly monsters. Through battling these creatures, they unlock powers that only seem to deepen the cryptic nature of their surroundings. The three friends must cooperate and struggle to make their everyday lives “as rich and as fun as possible.”

Their true feelings and personalities will be revealed each day that they remain trapped in this unknown world, and, as their bonds grow deeper, they will learn new strengths and abilities.

The famed illustrator Mel Kishida remains to be responsible for the series’ character designs, which will be used for both the game and the Blue Reflection: Ray anime series.

Blue Reflection: Second Light will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 9th November 2021.
