Blue Nintendo Switch Lite Releases Next Month

Nintendo has revealed the blue-coloured Nintendo Switch Lite, which becomes the next addition to the existing range of colour options for the portable console.

With integrated controls and a compact, lightweight design, the console remains dedicated to playing in handheld mode and has a 5.5-inch touch screen and a battery life that will last approximately 3 – 7 hours.

This revision does not have a kickstand and cannot be placed in a Nintendo Switch Dock as it does not support video output to a TV, meaning that it won’t come with either the peripheral or an HDMI cable.

As with other Nintendo Switch Lite models, the controls also won’t have HD Rumble or an IR Motion Camera – meaning that you can’t use Nintendo Labo, for example. And while you can play all Nintendo Switch games that support handheld mode, there are some games that aren’t compatible which will be listed on the game’s packaging and on the Nintendo eShop.

The blue-coloured Nintendo Switch Lite will release across Europe on 7th May and in North America on 21st May 2021 priced at £179.99 ($199.99).
