505 Games has talked about the free post-launch downloadable content that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will receive.
These will add Online and Local Co-op, VS. mode, Roguelike mode, Boss Rush, Chaos mode, and the Nightmare Difficulty, with secret playable characters also waiting to be unlocked.
There is also a Speed Demon Update that is expected to become available “later next week” on Nintendo Switch, that adds optimized graphics, visuals, and balance, as well as the Speed Run Mode, Boss Rush Mode, and the Pure Miriam Outfit.
If that wasn’t enough, the paid Iga’s Back Pack downloadable content (£7.99) will hit the Nintendo eShop on June 28th, letting you battle Koji Igarashi as an in-game boss, who, once defeated, will reward you with the powerful Swordwhip weapon.
Set in 18th century England, in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night a paranormal force has summoned a demon-infested castle that reveals crystal shards that have been infused with tremendous magical power.
You play as Miriam, an orphan left scarred by an alchemist curse that slowly crystallizes her body. To save humanity and herself, she must fight her way through the castle to defeat the summoner Gebel and his countless minions and bosses.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on June 25th, and at retail on June 28th.
