Arc System Works has announced that BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition will release on Nintendo Switch, news that the developer shared at Tokyo Game Show 2018.

The game was first released in Japanese arcades before it was ported to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and combines a 2D fighting game with a visual novel.

Set after the events in BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma, it was the final game to have Ragna the Bloodedge as the protagonist and serves as an ending to the Azure Saga that had started with Calamity Trigger.

It is the first game in the series to star Naoto Kurogane, Hibiki Kohaku, Nine the Phantom and Izanami with three downloadable content characters in Es from the XBlaze series, Mai Natsume from BlazBlue spin-off manga Remix Heart and Yuki Terumi’s true form, Susano’o.

BlazBlue Central Fiction Special Edition will release for Nintendo Switch in Japan.
