Starcolt and Alliance Games have revealed that Best Friend Forever will release on Nintendo Switch, the world’s first dating and dog management sim hybrid.
After stepping off the bus at Rainbow Bay, you will have the chance to meet a diverse cast of hot single dog owners in the area.
With the developer combining classic tend and befriend gameplay with an engaging dating-sim narrative, after creating your dating profile you will adopt one of four special puppers.
Once you have made your choice, you’re free to live your best life – bonding with your adopted canine companion as your human love life grows alongside the relationship you share with your fluffy best friend.
“We’re coming at Best Friend Forever from the angle of being a woman-dominant studio,” explains Starcolt studio and creative director Lucy Morris.
“A lot of the creative decisions we make are so we can see more of these varied perspectives and stories in our games.”
Gamerunner Calliope Ryder adds: “Every person on the core team belongs in the LGBTQ+ community, so being inclusive in Best Friend Forever’s design was paramount. We needed to ensure that everyone is able to play the game however they want to.
“We’re also a tiny team, which meant that every developer has had creative input and advice for the varied NPCs and love interests – they’ve really become treasured characters, and we can’t wait to see how players respond to them!”
Best Friend Forever will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 14th February 2020.
