D3Publisher and Cartoon Network Enterprises have announced plans to release Ben 10: Omniverse across Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS.

The first video game to be based upon the brand new animated series will arrive later this year, and will serve to introduce fans to an all-new character design as well as the debut of Ben’s new sidekick, Rook.

Ben 10: Omniverse will set out to immerse players in action-brawler gameplay that features a new art style inspired by the show. You have the power to switch forms, battling as one of thirteen playable alien heroes, as you aim to apprehend a fierce villain that is hell bent on destroying the world.

Either single-player or two-player co-operative modes are available within the console versions, players controlling either Ben with his alien forms or Rook, who uses his high-tech Proto-Tool to neutralise threats.

Ben 10: Omniverse is being developed on Wii U and Wii by Vicious Cycle Studios, with 1st Playable Productions working on the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS versions.
