Varsav Game Studios has announced that Bee Simulator will release on Nintendo Switch, letting you take flight to explore a world inspired by Central Park in New York.

While you will be taking your orders from the Queen, a day comes when you learn that the tree that holds your hive will be cut down. With your small, agile legs and fast wings, you must set out to save the hive from the threat of human beings.

Beyond the single-player Story mode, there is an Exploration mode that lets you freely explore the world and a Split-screen mode that will let you cooperate with or compete against friends and family.

Bee Simulator will busy your time with taking part in races, defending yourself against wasps and other uninvited guests, performing your waggle dance to guide bees back to your hive and collecting the best pollen from rare plants and special flowers.

With relaxing music from The Witcher 3 and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter composer Mikołaj Stroiński, the developer promises that Bee Simulator will be “a perfect choice for parents seeking a game to safely play with their children.”

“One evening, when I was reading a book about bees to my daughter, I realised that the life of a family of bees is a premade script waiting for a family game. As a parent, I find it important to spend time together on activities we all find interesting and attractive. We designed the Bee Simulator to be such a game,” explains Varsav Game Studios creative director, Łukasz Rosiński.

“Through the game, the players will learn fun facts about the life of bees, and explore a beautiful world from the perspective of a tiny insect. The split-screen mode will allow you to get to know your colony in a cheerful and entertaining way. We made sure that controlling the flight of the bee will be intuitive for even the youngest players.”

Bee Simulator will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
