PQube and Sumo Digital have announced that their stealth adventure game Spyder: Agent 8 is in development for Nintendo Switch.
With the chance to “sneak into a retro-futuristic 1970s spy thriller like no other,” you play as Agent 8, who is the world’s tiniest and deceptively adorable robot spider superspy.
Built by a group of scientists within an elite spy group, the Secret Agent Facilitation Enterprise (S.A.F.E.), using experimental technology, Agent 8 is equipped with sticky feet that can help it infiltrate spaces that no human spy could ever reach. Your mission is to stop the evil organisation Syndicate of International Nasties (S.I.N.) and save the world.
In this “one-of-a-kind spy adventure,” every level will pose tiny spy-sized missions from rescuing astronauts to sabotaging a submarine or stopping a speeding train. To overcome them, you must use Agent 8’s gadgets to “slip past obstacles, explore every corner, and uncover clever surprises.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
