Fellow Traveller and Chance Agency have confirmed a release date for Neo Cab on Nintendo Switch.

Inspired by the rise of our app-driven daily lives, this is an emotional survival game about staying human in a world that has been disrupted by automation.

You play as Lina – the last human driver on the neon-drenched streets of Los Ojos, California. When your friend and only lifeline Savy mysteriously vanishes, you find yourself on your own in an unfamiliar city.

In your search, you must choose your passengers – and words – wisely. You will need to balance your cash, maintain a positive star rating, and manage your emotions in order to keep your job long enough to find her.

“What are the merits of personal, human service and why are sterile, automated interactions often presented as a core part of utopia?” creative lead Patrick Ewing asks.

“In Neo Cab, Lina is one of the last human drivers, and so those who get into her cab are in need of the human touch!

“Some of her passengers will enjoy having a conversation while they get from Point A to Point B. Others might prefer that automated utopia, and see Lina as just another node in the service mesh of automated capitalism.”

Neo Cab will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on October 3rd priced at $19.99, with a demo now available to download.
