Bayonetta, Corrin And Cloud amiibo Lock In July 21st Release Date

It has been some considerable time since Super Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai had announced that amiibo were to be created for Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud, Fire Emblem Fates protagonist Corrin and Bayonetta, who arrived as the final three downloadable content characters to be released for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Now, in this week’s Nintendo Direct, it has been confirmed that these will release at retailers worldwide on July 21st.

And, in addition to that, Nintendo revealed that there will be two amiibo for each character, that showcase their alternate character designs. That means that you can choose between the Umbran Witch’s appearance in either Bayonetta or Bayonetta 2, male or female Corrin, or Cloud as he appeared in Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Or you can buy all six, if you want.
