Bayonetta 2 introduces optional touch screen controls

PlatinumGames executive creative producer Atsushi Inaba provided insights within his own Developer Direct, in which he talks about Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2.

He touches on the design decision behind the original Bayonetta, and the direction taken for the sequel. There’s gratification behind your actions, with Bayonetta receiving a new Umbran Climax skill that “gives you a sense of power and euphoria like no other.”

Players can control with the stylus and Wii U GamePad, which he believes will be a really unique method of playing through the game.

Inaba also shares his belief that the game won’t fall short of player expectations, and hopes fans will check out how the game’s progressing

Bayonetta 2 releases exclusively for Wii U in 2014.
