Nintendo has shared a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, which will release on Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
This isn’t a direct sequel to Fire Emblem Warriors and will instead explore “a different story from the same universe as Fire Emblem: Three Houses.” Set in Fódlan, it will take the world and characters from the land’s three countries and spin “a new tale.”
The trailer has served to introduce the game’s main protagonist Shez, a “mercenary on a mission” who must confront the Ashen Demon. After a chance encounter with the future rulers of the three nations that govern Fódlan, you must guide Shez as their actions impact the future of the continent and lead down three diverging paths.
You will have the chance to explore your encampment and interact with your allies before heading into battle – enjoying training, tasty meals and conversations together to strengthen bonds and unlock new abilities that will aid you.
In battle, you can give orders to your allies in real-time while hacking and slashing through the hordes that oppose you.
Nintendo has added that some “strategical elements” from Fire Emblem: Three Houses like Adjutants will return, which allows allies to protect the player and help them unleash powerful moves referred to as Partner Specials.
With the chance to move your forces across the map while keeping an eye on your objectives, extra events, like Survey Spots appearing, the merchant Anna who sells valuable items and more will happen. You will also be able to freely change character classes to prepare for any encounter, with a companions’ unique traits with different classes presenting the chance to explore many tactical combinations.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 24th June 2022.
