Curve Digital and Infinite State Games have teamed up to release Rogue Aces on Nintendo Switch, an aerial combat, arcade rogue-lite where you must outflank, barrel-roll and dogfight your way through World War II scenarios.

It is down to you to turn the tide of the war, as you battle for supremacy across air, sea, and land in more than 100 increasingly challenging procedurally generated missions.

With one stick controlling the direction of the propeller plane with the other handling the throttle, combat soon becomes frantic but graceful, in encouraging you to perform daring acrobatic manoeuvres.

Each plane only has a limited amount of fuel, so you must fly efficiently to capture enemy bases and destroy enemy forces – leaving room for replenishing your supplies and making hasty repairs.

“Rogue Aces’ gameplay is perfectly suited for pick up and play sessions,” explains Mike Daw, creative director at Infinite State Games. “Its short, frenetic levels are great if you’ve got a spare 5, 15 or even 50 minutes. And while Rogue Aces’ aerial combat might initially appear simple our controls and mechanics keep the proceedings super fun and deep.”

Curve Digital managing director Jason Perkins, adds: “Rogue Aces looks fantastic and we’re extremely excited to announce that Infinite State Games is becoming part of the Curve family. As a team of handheld devotees, we can’t wait for players around the world to experience Rogue Aces’ portable pick up and play fun.”

Rogue Aces will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on April 12th, priced at £9.99 (€12.99/$12.99).
