THQ Nordic and Airship Syndicate have announced that Battle Chasers: Nightwar will release on Nintendo Switch next month.
The game, which promises deep dungeon diving, turn-based combat presented in a classic JRPG format, and a rich story that is driven by the player’s exploration of the world, had previously suffered a delay on the portable home console.
That came from it being a last-minute addition to the platforms that the game was destined for, and, as it was a brand new console, had seen the developer “hit a few issues” that had slowed their progress in porting it over.
With randomly-generated dungeons filled with traps, puzzles, secrets and loot, players will encounter marauding enemies that thrust them into combat scenarios in which they can use a unique overcharge mana system and potent Battle Bursts.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 15th, priced at £34.99 (€39.99 / $39.99).
