Battle Chasers: Nightwar Given The NES Treatment

Battle Chasers: Nightwar NES Copy

With Battle Chasers: Nightwar now available on Nintendo Switch, THQ Nordic has celebrated by looking to imagine what the game would have looked like if it had released on the NES.

The critically-acclaimed RPG, which is based on Joe Madureira’s comic book series, takes inspiration from what is remembered as the golden age of JRPG in the 1980-90s.

“Battle Chasers: Nightwar draws its inspiration by the Japanese RPG greats of the 1990s, so it’s great to envision what the game would have looked like if it had been released way back when (back when gluten and casino-mechanics in games were not a thing yet),” explains THQ Nordic PR and marketing director, Philipp Brock.

“The game has been warmly received by critics the world over since its initial launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it’s great to finally be bringing it to Nintendo Switch.”

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is now available at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
