Batman: Arkham Origins on Wii U suffers sudden European delay

Wii U owners awaiting the Dark Knight’s latest escapades in Batman: Arkham Origins will soon be met with a heavy heart, as Warner Bros. Interactive today announced a delay to the physical release across Europe.

Such news was shared by Eurogamer, who also revealed that accompanying Nintendo 3DS spin-off Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate is also delayed – both games now set to arrive two weeks later than expected across Europe on November 8th.

Whatever the reason for this is remains unclear, but Nintendo fans aren’t alone with PC version’s arrival having similarly been affected. More of a concern is the fact that it may affect sales of the Wii U SKU, with fans instead securing copies for other consoles rather than having to hold out during the extra wait. Still, there’s plenty of games now to get stuck into.
