Batman: Arkham Origins will boast a multiplayer mode crafted by UK studio Splash Damage, although it will be entirely absent from the Wii U version.
In a further blow to the console, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have blamed its low install base instead delivering the mode “on platforms with the largest MP audience.”
It’s disheartening to say the least, especially with the publisher’s support for Nintendo’s latest console – if publisher’s won’t treat the Wii U version with parity then why would consumers invest in it?
“MP will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC,” a Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment spokesperson told Eurogamer. “The team is focusing development efforts on platforms with the largest MP audience.”
