Another in a quick succession of unexpected delays, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate – Deluxe Edition sadly won’t be seeing release for Wii U through the Nintendo eShop this week as expected.

Having been anticipated to arrive on April 2nd, that has now been pushed back to “later in April”. The game’s launch trailer description specified such date as being April 17th, although this has since been removed.

Developed by Armature Studio, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate – Deluxe Edition is an enhanced version of its 3DS and PS Vita predecessor. Those that purchase can expect high-definition visuals, a new map system, difficulty levels, batsuits, and foes to tackle as you once again step into the role of the Dark Knight.

    • I presume that they have review code, which makes it all the more puzzling that it’s been delayed!
