Batman: Arkham City makes “fantastic use” of Wii U controller

Whilst little remains known regarding the Wii U version of Batman: Arkham City, during the Game Developers Conference Epic Games vice president Mark Rein provided a few tidbits.

During a presentation he stated that the game, which runs on Unreal Engine 3, wouldn’t be a straight port of the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/PC version that was previously released last October.

Following a showreel that presented footage of Batman: Arkham City and Aliens: Colonial Marines running on the Wii U, Rein went on to express that Rocksteady Studios title makes “fantastic use of the touch controller”, although wouldn’t be pressed to elaborate further on such information.

Rocksteady Studios previously insisted that they would ensure that the game would “play to the strengths of the console”.
