Warner Bros has revealed Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition, a Wii U exclusive version of the  2011 Game of the Year title confirmed for the new console at last year’s conference.

Created by RockSteady Studios and brought to Wii U by WB Games Montreal, Armoured Edition will include all the content seen in the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game as well as all the downloadable content such as Harley Quinn’s Revenge and the Catwoman campaign content.

Armoured Edition will introduce the B.A.T. aka the Battle Armour Tech offering fans upgraded battle suits for both Batman and Catwoman. These allow players to build up energy by doing well in fighting segments and unleash powerful offensive attacks.

The Wii U Game Pad will offer an on-board Batcomputer allowing players to use the touch screen to seamlessly select objectives, choose their gadget, track forensic evidence, upgrade their gear, detonate explosive gel, and more.

Many of the dark knight’s gadgets have been tweaked to make use of the Wii U’s features including the gyro sensor.

“Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition harnesses the power of the Wii U system and the Wii U GamePad with features that allow fans to further immerse themselves in the role of Batman like never before,” said Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president Martin Tremblay.

“WB Games Montréal evolved the incredible hit game by Rocksteady into a truly unique experience on Wii U.”

“WB Games Montréal is very excited to unveil the all new Wii U features we’ve created in Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition,” said WB Games Montréal’s vice president and executive producer Reid Schneider .

“The new controller allows for a different twist on the Batman: Arkham City game, as players now have the power of the Batcomputer and gadgets in the palm of their hands.”

The game will appear alongside with Wii U’s launch line-up.
