After some early speculation Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition will soon see release on Nintendo Switch, with BadLand Games and Thomas Happ Games announcing that it will release alongside the Wii U, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions.

The Multiverse Edition will include a specially commissioned and exclusive 2 Player Productions documentary about Thomas Happ and the making of Axiom Verge. It will also contain a copy of the game, a deluxe booklet with developer commentary and art, and a double-sided poster.

The atmospheric soundtrack CD will be available as a pre-order bonus on Wii U, and will be included as standard with the Nintendo Switch version.

“We’re proud to be working with 2 Player Productions on making Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition an even more valuable collector’s item with the inclusion of this unprecedented look into the life of a renowned indie developer,” BadLand Games CEO Luis Quintáns enthused.

“We’re also pleased to confirm that the Multiverse Edition will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch. After fielding questions from the player community for some time now, it feels great to finally go public with this exciting news.”

Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition will release on Wii U and Nintendo Switch in August, priced at £24.99 (€29.99/$29.99) and €39.99 respectively.
