PLAYISM and SOMI have announced that Replica has received a surprise release on Nintendo Switch.

This award-winning political Orwellian pixel adventure comes the portable home console with a new interface for controllers and improved translations.

You must use the cell phone of a suspected terrorist to peer into the private lives of strangers, as a controlling Homeland Security of a dystopian government locks the device’s wielder to an unknown location.

Snooping into the cell phone to find and report evidence of its owner’s involvement in terrorist activities, you must uncover hints through text messages, phone calls and social media posts to work out the owner’s true activities – leading you to one of more than 10 different endings.

“The insane experience of peeping into someone’s private life through a cell phone will likely hit a little harder and personally in the West right now,” SOMI explains. “We are all aware of the concept of a dystopian future, but it is something we have never experienced. Find out how you would feel and act when put on the spot in Replica.”

Replica is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide priced at ($4.99).
