Wired Productions and Hello There Games have announced that AVICII Invector is in development for Nintendo Switch.

This fast-paced rhythm game has looked to fuse the late Swedish DJ and music producer’s “trademark brand of uplifting EDM music coupled with serene visualscapes.”

With 25 of his biggest hit songs, there are six different worlds to explore – solo or with friends in local split-screen – accompanied by an “immersive story,” which emerges through voiced cutscenes.

You will join space pilot Stella as she journeys between each world, racing through landscapes – requiring that you hit notes, with three difficulties to master.

Part of the game’s royalties will be directly donated to The Tim Bergling Foundation, which advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health emergency – promoting the removal of the stigma attached to the discussion of mental health issues.

“AVICII Invector celebrates Avicii’s life and music by immersing players inside the pulsing rhythms, evocative lyrics, and beautiful melodies he created,” explains Wired Productions managing director Leo Zullo.

“He was an amazing talent, and as an advocate for mental health, I hope and believe this project will bring Tim Bergling’s wonderful spirit to a world that can benefit from it.”

AVICII Invector will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide this winter.
