Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land Banner

Koei Tecmo has shared an overview trailer for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Gust is the developer behind this latest entry in the Atelier series, which follows the adventures of Yumia Liessfeldt and her companions as they journey to unravel the mysteries behind the cataclysm that destroyed the once-great continent of Aladiss. The event resulted in alchemy becoming taboo.

Flammi will accompany Yumia in her quest – a flying, self-confident travelling companion who once belonged to her mother. Throughout her travels, Yumia will also encounter many different characters such as Licht, a highly skilled informant; Wilma, an anthropologist with a passion for the culture of Aladiss; Erhard, the leader of the Research Team; and the Alber, a small and friendly tribe who live in various parts of the world.

With the chance to explore dungeons and ruins in search of hidden treasures, you may recover Memory Vials – remnants of the past that will reward you with field information such as Relic Treasure locations and can be dismantled to obtain rare materials for synthesis.

Using the Treasure Trove Keys that you find on your journey, you can access precious treasures. These include Trait Crystals which can be used on items or equipment to improve performance from treasure chests. You will also discover Mana Geysers that will release “particles” required to unlock new synthesis recipes.

Your exploration could lead you into “Manabound Areas,” where highly dense mana lies stagnant. Entering such areas will gradually deplete your energy, making it impossible to run while also reducing your abilities in battle. You will be able to restore your health by finding Alstahlia Flowers, whereas discovering and restoring landmarks will clear the area and improve the ease of your exploration.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 21 March 2025.
