Koei Tecmo and GUST have revealed that Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This has seen the developer remake “the origin of the Atelier series,” which was first released for PlayStation and SEGA Saturn back in 1997 and has remained a Japanese-only release since.
You play as 19-year-old Marie in this carefree, cosy RPG adventure, who, after struggling at school and at risk of being expelled, is given access to an Atelier by her teacher and challenged to produce something outstanding within five years.
More information about the project has been promised to be shared on Monday 20th February 2023, in the fourth Atelier 25th Anniversary Program broadcast.
Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Summer 2023.
