Microids and OSome Studio have confirmed a release date for Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.
You will join the famous Gauls on a journey through Hibernia, in a new top-down explosive adventure spanning six chapters that promise “non-stop action, mind-bending puzzle solving, exploration and items to collect.”
Set in 50 BC, Gaul remains entirely occupied by the Romans aside from a small village that continues to hold out against its invaders. Meanwhile, in Hibernia – now known as Ireland – chief Whiskitonix’s daughter Keratine calls on Asterix and Obelix to defeat the Roman invasion and rescue her father’s beloved golden ram.
Either solo or with up to four players in the game’s local co-op mode, you will be able to control your favourite heroes as you use your fists and surrounding objects to defeat the Romans that confront you. The trusty druid Getafix has also been working on a new magic potion recipe that will grant you extra power.
Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 13th October 2022.
