Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for Super Mario Odyssey, revealing that the Nintendo Switch exclusive will have an Assist Mode.

When activated, arrows will show the player where to go next and whenever they fall off the stage to risk tumbling into oblivion, Mario will be safely placed into a bubble and returned to the most recent platform that they were on.

This assistance for younger players who may need some guidance won’t come as a particular surprise, seeing as Nintendo has always been happy to offer a helping hand – the White Tanooki Suit being one such example, seen in Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario 3D Land, and New Super Mario Bros. 2.

Super Mario Odyssey will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on October 27th.
