Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji Out On Nintendo Switch 2 Next Month

Ubisoft has confirmed a release date for the Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji expansion on Nintendo Switch 2.

Coming to the portable home console successor on Tuesday 10 March 2026, the expansion will let you journey to the Island of Awaji where Naoe and Yasuke must seek to reclaim a lost treasure.

Confronted with the sinister Sanzoku Ippa clan, you will have the chance to unlock legendary bô weapons for Naoe, along with new skills, outfits, and perks for both protagonists that can also be used in the main game.

The publisher has outlined the expansion’s key features, which include:

  • Explore A Mysterious Island: Embark on a completely new adventure as Naoe & Yasuke and travel to the mysterious Island of Awaji beyond Osaka Bay. As the pair scour this new region seeking to reclaim a lost treasure, they are hunted relentlessly by deadly new foes. Securing the object—and Japan’s future—won’t be easy, with all the traps and ambushes putting our protagonists at risk.
  • Discover A New Chapter In The AC Shadows Story: Become Naoe and Yasuke once again and discover this new chapter of their stories as they follow the path of a mysterious shinobi and face the sinister Sanzoku Ippa clan.
  • Unlock New Weapons and Skills: Get legendary bô weapons for Naoe and unlock fresh skills, outfits, and perks for both protagonists. All new gear can be carried back into the main game to expand your arsenal.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide.
