The Japanese developer has previously worked on Wii Play: Motion, StreetPass Mii Plaza and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. But it is their work on Yoshi’s New Island that has come as a more widespread concern, given how many had been left disappointed with how they had handled the beloved character’s return to the spotlight.
The new side-scrolling Pikmin adventure game will see Captain Olimar exploring lush worlds with his curious companions by his side. Players will need to use different coloured Pikmin to overcome challenges and defeat enemies as they work their way through each level.
Hey! Pikmin will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS worldwide on July 28th, with a new Pikmin amiibo launching separately on the same day.
