Aonuma expects future Zelda titles to use Motion Control

The use of a motion control scheme is to remain to be used within future The Legend Of Zelda titles, producer Eiji Aonuma has stated.

With their implementation near enough perfected within The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Aonuma shared his belief that he can’t imagine the series ever returning to a standard button control scheme.

Posed with the question as to whether he would see future entries use Wii MotionPlus, he replied: “I honestly think we cannot go back to button controls now, so I think that these controls will be used in future Zelda titles, too.”

We’ll have to await to see how this will affect the next instalment, anticipated to release on Wii U and to therefore be the first HD title within the series. If motion controls remain, how will Nintendo implement use of the Wii U’s tablet controller?
