Aonuma and Kondo pay tribute to The Legend of Zelda fans in latest video

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and composer Koji Kondo have expressed a “most sincere thank you” to fans of the series, in the latest video released ahead of the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

“I would like to offer my deepest and most sincere thank you to the fans of The Legend of Zelda who have helped turn Link, Zelda and all the inhabitants of Hyrule into some of the most beloved and recognisable characters in video game history”, Aonuma states. “To those of you who have enjoyed The Legend of Zelda over the past 25 years, I can’t thank you enough”.

He continues, “When Mr. Miyamoto approached me years ago to design the dungeons for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I recognised that I was given the opportunity that might never come again in my life. What I didn’t know is that I would also be welcomed into what I believe to be the most dedicated, and passionate group of fans that I have ever encountered. I am truly humbled by your support and thank you all.”

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is due to release exclusively for Wii on November 18th across Europe, and November 20th across North America.
